
via Instagram Here’s our #Haftsin, with a brief description of what everything symbolizes. (“Haft” means seven, “sin” pronounced “seen” means the s sound. So, seven S’s.) ๐ฎ๐ท - hyacinth: a harbinger of spring ๐ง : for good health ๐ goldfish (or in case, goldfish crackers and goldfish stitch markers): they pause their swimming when the bull who carries the world on its horn switches horns -sumac: so you live a flavorful life - noodles: so your undertakings run with smooth continuity - Sabzeh: grains that have been used to foretell a successful harvest for the coming year ๐ช: coins to keep you solvent ๐: an apple so you appear as healthy as a red-cheeked apple ๐ฏ: to bring light to your life ๐ช: to reflect on your past, show your present, and peek into your future. (The mirror and candlesticks were wedding gifts from my maternal grandfather.) ๐: my household is secular, but the book we follow is Positive Discipline.
